Preservation Grants

Our Preservation Grants Program is an effective tool for aid lighthouse preservation and restoration projects across the state. Each year, we will allocate thousands of dollars to nonprofit organizations that meet the strict criteria below.

Our Goal

Establish an endowment for lighthouse maintenance, preservation, and restoration projects across the state to be allocated to various lighthouse preservation organizations.

Criteria

The lighthouse must be located within the state of California
Is there an identified restoration/preservation project requiring funding?
Is there an active preservation/support group in charge of the project?
Will the grant have a significant impact on the restoration/preservation project?

Note: "Lighthouse" can also encompass the terms "lightship" or "light station"
